About Us
The Jewish Singles Collaborative (JSC) is THE Jewish singles group in the Twin Cities; the touch point for Jewish singles in the Twin Cities.
JSC is an independent, volunteer-managed organization. We collaborate with other Jewish organizations in the community, and we seek out and embrace the support of Jewish organizations and local synagogues.
The goal of the Jewish Singles Collaborative is to foster an inclusive environment within the Jewish community for singles. Within this environment, singles can get to know each other on an informal basis and build friendships and relationships which lead to greater access to, and an increased involvement with, the organized Jewish community. To further this aim, the Jewish Singles Collaborative provides advocacy for singles within the community, coordinates and publicizes programs, identifies unmet needs and builds on the diversity of programming presently offered.

Operation Carmel Renewal: From Black to Green
Click here to watch the Operation Carmel Renewal (OCR) video.
On December 2, 2010 the deadliest forest fire in Israel’s history broke out on the Carmel Mountain Range near the city of Haifa. The fire spread rapidly and burned for nearly four days, claiming the lives of 44 people, severely damaging homes and property, and consuming an estimated five million trees.
As soon as the magnitude of the fire became clear, JNF launched Operation Carmel Renewal: From Black to Green, an emergency fundraising campaign to repair the vast environmental damage to the Carmel and provide firefighters with much-needed supplies.
One year has passed since the devastating Carmel forest fire, the worst natural disaster in Israeli history, which killed 44 people and destroyed 7,500 acres of forested area. With your support, JNF’s Operation Carmel Renewal (OCR) campaign has raised more than $7.5 million to rehabilitate the burnt landscape of the Carmel, purchase new firefighting equipment and trucks, and re-green affected communities.
To date, nearly $5 million has been raised in support of this effort. Funds are being used to purchase trucks and equipment for fire departments and forestry units across Israel as well as to begin the long process of rehabilitating the Carmel's landscape. Please show your support today. Together, we will enhance the rescue capabilities of Israel's firefighters and turn the Carmel from black to green.
Show your support for Israel's firefighters and the State of Israel. Make your donation now.
