Lock & Key FAQ's
Q: How does it work?
A: A lock and key program is not like speed dating. It is more like a happy hour mingle or schmoozing type event, but with the key & lock icebreaker included to help people meet as many new people as they want. These events are not structured or rigid in any way. You may choose to have a brief conversation with one person and a longer one with another. Once you check in and receive your lock or key, you're free to approach whomever you like, whenever you like, for as long as you like.
Q: What happens when I find a match for my key or lock?
A: Once you find a match to your lock or key, you proceed to the registration table and exchange your matched key and lock for new ones. By making a match, you receive a ticket that gets you another entry into the raffle later in the evening. The more matches you make, the more tickets you receive, the more chances you have to win prizes.
Q: What if I meet someone that I like?
A: We hope that you schmooze with different people and have a good time doing it. The goal is to meet someone that you like. You're free to ask for or give out contact information on your own. There will be pens and cards provided on which you can write down people’s names, phone numbers, email, etc…
