About Us
The Jewish Singles Collaborative (JSC) is THE Jewish singles group in the Twin Cities; the touch point for Jewish singles in the Twin Cities.
JSC is an independent, volunteer-managed organization. We collaborate with other Jewish organizations in the community, and we seek out and embrace the support of Jewish organizations and local synagogues.
The goal of the Jewish Singles Collaborative is to foster an inclusive environment within the Jewish community for singles. Within this environment, singles can get to know each other on an informal basis and build friendships and relationships which lead to greater access to, and an increased involvement with, the organized Jewish community. To further this aim, the Jewish Singles Collaborative provides advocacy for singles within the community, coordinates and publicizes programs, identifies unmet needs and builds on the diversity of programming presently offered.

IRS Provision on Donations to Charities Providing Aid to Haiti
Click hereto read the IRS news release entitled “Haiti Relief Donations Qualify for Immediate Tax Relief”, IR-2010-12, Jan. 25, 2010, and get a link to a related video. The news release explains a new IRS provision that allows taxpayers who itemize deductions on their 2009 return to deduct contributions to Haiti relief charities made in 2010 (after Jan. 11, 2010 and before March 1, 2010) on their 2009 or 2010 returns, but not on both. Read the news release for details. Please discuss any questions with a tax professional (NOT with the JSC Coordinators!).
Donate to Jewish Relief Agencies Providing Aid to Haiti
The level of injury, death and damage to property caused by the earthquake in Haiti was devastating to this small, destitute and struggling country. The need is still great. Numerous Jewish agencies with extensive experience in providing aid to victims of natural disasters have stepped up to the plate by establishing Haiti relief funds and many are providing victim support on the scene.
Following is a list of trustworthy Jewish agencies that have established relief funds for Haiti. Please consider donating as much as you are able to one or more of these agencies to support their aid efforts. Click on the name to make an online donation or to get information on how to donate by check. Thank you for your act of Tikkun Olam (repairing the world).
Please pray for the safe return of kidnapped Israeli soldier, Gilad Shalit. www.gilad.org
